Material & Manufacturing Process
Manufactured using high-density fiberglass reinforced with polyester resin, our Chop-and-Spray Fiberglass Columns are engineered for structural performance and dimensional stability. Each shaft, capital, base molding, and plinth is sanded and factory-primed for a uniform paint-grade finish.
Custom molds may be produced to accommodate project-specific proportions and architectural requirements. These columns are suitable for both commercial and residential applications.
Column Shaft
The fiberglass shaft is reinforced with polyester resin and finished with a protective gel coat.
Profile: Plain/smooth surface
Taper: Architecturally tapered — the lower third remains straight, with the upper two-thirds tapering toward the neck
Finish: Paint grade (includes gel coat)
Modification: Shaft height may be reduced in the field by trimming from the bottom only, using a circular saw equipped with a masonry blade
Detailing: Classic astragal (bead) molded integrally into the shaft
Capital, Base Molding & Plinth
Tuscan capital, base molding, and plinth are included and fabricated from fiberglass.
These components are designed as decorative sleeves that wrap around the shaft. They do not add to the overall column height.
Alternative decorative capital styles and base molding / plinth configurations are available.
